What is pixels,resolution-720p,1080p,4k how to buy a tv

In our daily life before buying any laptop or TV or smartphone, Initially, we will see the display size or display resolution, etc. Before to understand the displays resolutions like HD, full HD, and quad HD. We have to understand about the pixels and resolutions.

what is pixel?

The pixel is small dot it occupies the complete screen by combining with more than 50,0000 pixels. Each pixel gives Red, Green, Blue colors based on the pictures it will gives these colors.

If the pixels are more in the smartphone or TV or any display devices, the display will look very sharp and clear to see it. of the pixels are less the display will look like soft and blurred.

For example, From the below flower has red color and green colors on it.same flower is open in our smartphone to display the red and green color, some pixels will be converted to red color and other pixels will convert to a green color and other pixels will not activated where colour is not required to gives the complete picture for the smartphone.

What is Resolution?

Resolution is the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. It can be an ambiguous term especially as the displayed resolution is controlled by different factors in cathode ray tube (CRT) displays.flat-panel displays (including liquid-crystal displays).

Example: FHD displays the resolution is 1920 * 1080p if you multiply the number 1920*1080, we will get the 2073600 (approx 2 million pixels ). Will be present in the FHD displays, if the pixels will more. resolution becomes more improve, Then the picture clarity and quality will become more improved a lot.

Explaination of SD,HD,FHD,QHD,4K resolutions ?

In the olden days, we have seen the CRT displays it looked like the square shape, it displays only black and white colors. Its resolution is the 640* 480p and the display aspect ratio is very less i.e 4:3 due to these nowadays these displays are not using in the various display devices. 

These type of displays are also known as SD(Standard Definition 480p) display.

HD(High Definition) display(720p): It is the improved version of the SD displays, It resolution is 1280*720p and its aspect ratio is 16:9. To measure the pixels we have to multiply the 1280*720 then the output is 921,600 i.e nearly 1 million pixels will be present in it. These1 million pixels will help to execute any image or video more and more better compared to the SD display.

FHD(Full High Definition)display(1080p): It is also known as 1080p display compared to the other display resolutions like SD, HD display .the full HD display is very sharp, clear and more clarity to visible.Its resolution is 1920*1080p.I.e more than 2 million pixels will be present to the display images.

QHD display: It is also known as the 2k display. simply it is 4 times of the HD display, its resolution is the 2560*1440p i.e nearly 4 million pixels will be merged in the display to display the images or pictures. Compared to the other display resolutions quality and clarity of the picture is more.

These type of display will be seen in very high-end Samsung galaxy series and LG series smartphones

In the QHD display resolutions they are two types:  

1)Small qHD display 

2)Large QHD display.

1) Small qHD display: It is equal to the HD resolution, its resolution is 960*540p. 

2)large QHD display: It is equal to the quality of the 2K display and its resolution is 2560*1440p.

4k display(4096p): In most of the high-end phones, the 4k display is rarely used. Sony has introduced the 4k display in the market initially for smartphones. Its resolution is 2160*4096 i.e more than 9 million pixels are there in that device.

Comparison of the display quality with the same amount of the pixels in the Tv and Smartphone?

When we have taken the FHD display it has 2 million pixels, the same amount of the pixels are there in smartphone as well as Tv.

The Tv display is not good compared to the smartphone due to the thickness and size. The Tv display size is large compared to the Smartphone .so it needs more and more pixels to display the good quality of the images. In smartphones, the display is small .so, it needs fewer pixels to display the good quality of the images compared to the Tv or Pc.

In any displays, pixels thickness is very more or pixel to pixel distance is very less the clarity of the image or picture is very high.

Finally, more than FHD. 2k,4k resolutions are mostly used for the Tv or Pc, etc, because for the human eye to see the display from the smartphones the minimum 300pixels is enough more than that also we can see but there won't be that much difference in the image or picture quality.

=> 5 or below inches  - HD resolution is enough.

=>6.3 or below inches - FHD resolution is enough. 

from Above inches displays, the corresponding resolutions are enough for smartphones. If you see in the market Sony high-end phones have offered 4k resolution for 5.45 inches display but it won't give huge difference when you compare with same FHD resolution displays. for a human eye, these are using for publicity or advertisement purposes. but when you were using the VR headsets these high-resolution display is needed to display to display better images to our eyes.
