Swiggy reportedly to buy uber eats India operation
Uber is in the final stages of negotiations to sell the India arm of its food-delivery business, Uber Eats, to Swiggy. According to ET, the deal is expected to be closed next month, and will be the biggest acquisition for the Bengaluru-based company.
Sources quoted by the publication claims that the transaction is likely to be a share swap, giving Uber a stake of around 10 percent in the home-grown company that was last valued at $3.3 billion (around Rs. 23,000 crore).
The report further claims that the US ride aggregator also held talks with Zomato, but those talks fell through.
