IPhone XI rumored to have Display that tracks touch input in water
With the Galaxy S10 out of the gate, it's time to look ahead to the next-gen iPhones. According to XDA-Developers writer Max Weinbach Apple's upcoming phones will likely "have displays that work underwater."
Weinbach went on to say that the new touchscreens are currently in the prototype stage. "They have a patent for it and are finally doing it," he added.
That patent is for a touch screen that can track fingers in wet environments, unlike touch screens now that consider water drops as finger touches. A related Wccftech report says Apple is also working on improving the Haptic Engine for the new system.
